The second Ibn Battuta Conference took place in India, continuing the tradition of fostering cross-cultural dialogue. Third Conference in Indonesia
The third international Ibn Battuta Conference was successfully held in Makassar on September 27-28, 2024, with the theme of cross-cultural dialogue and intellectualism. Opened by Prof. Nur Hidayah, the conference featured the launch of Musaliar King by Prof. Abbas Panakkal, along with insightful talks by Prof. Aishath Muneeza, Prof. Elsadig Elfaqih, and Prof. Mustapha Abdul Hamid on women’s leadership, globalization challenges, and international collaboration. Highlighted by traditional Sulawesi dance and a city tour to Fort Rotterdam, the event strengthened global connections and concluded with a beachside lunch at Galesong.
